Alltrax controller
I have a 2003 DS Club Car IQ. I have found a used Alltrax controller "DCX500R18". Will this controller work for my cart? I know the DCX is for shunt motors and 500 is the amps. What does the R18 mean?

Re: Alltrax controller
I would contact ALLTRAX personally and find out for sure what the R18? stands for.

Re: Alltrax controller
I called Alltrax and the technician was out to lunch, I never called back. The controller had one label that read DCX500IQ and the other label had DCX500R18. I know that it will work for my cart, I was wondering what R18 stood for. Thanks for all the help, Greg

Re: Alltrax controller
I am 99.99% sure that an R18 indicates a Club Car PDPLUS configuration. Mine is PDPlus and has an R18 on the end.
Any version will work for you, you just have to make sure it is programmed for the right Field Map and throttle or you will blow it up. |

Re: Alltrax controller
I've got to get me a cable to hook it to my computer so I can see what setup is already in the controller. I'm new to all this programing stuff. Can I hook this controller up to my computer before I install it in the cart or do I have to have it in the cart powered up first?
