Smoke every now and then
I have a 2006 txt and every once and a while it will blow a little gray/white smoke out at startup. Yes it is lifted and when I drained the oil I tilted the cart to drain it all and put 1.5 qts in it. That helped, and it doesn't do it as often. I did a compression check the other day and changed the plugs(they looked good). The compression was 180 plus. Any ideas? I have heard some people say these engines do this sometimes. Also, there is no oil in air filter. Thanks

Re: Smoke every now and then
I adjusted the valves a couple of months ago. I will redo. There is a gassy smell at low speed and idling. Maybe some carb adjustment is needed.

Re: Smoke every now and then
Does it backfire or spit through the carb at low speed when you let off accelerator when moving?

Re: Smoke every now and then
Usually it is caused from linkage out of adjustment, the carb butterfly need to close before the microswitch does
