Default WTF Accelerator pivot rod bearing?

Can someone tell me exactly, where this part goes?

I just replaced the accelerator pivot rod, the 2 bearing plates, and the plastic spacer on a 93 ds cart. While I was ordering parts, I also ordered this from Nivel :

Accel pivot rod support bearing. Club Car 92-up DS,XRT

Item Number: 7953
Price: $4.50

Accelerator pivot rod support bearing. For Club Car G&E 1992-up DS,XRT800, also 2008-up XRT810

This part is plastic, and I see no place that it might go. I hope someone can tell me where it goes, and does it even go on a 93 Ds ?

ALSO, I see a difference on the new pivot rod, and the original one. The original one has a " shoulder" on one end, that is about 1/2" long. The new rod does not have anything there, so how do you make up this 1/2" gap?

Someone with smarts, please help?

Thank you.

. . I can not find that part (support bearing) on the IPL for a 93 DS (CC Part #1017424) . . .

. . . link to the pivot rod you purchased? Does your original look like this (CC Part# 1016116)?:

Steve

Yes that is exactly what the rod I bought looks like.

The original rod that is on this 93 DS cart, has a "shoulder" built into it, .

This shoulder looks like it is either part of the rod, or possibly was a spacer. that does not allow you to push the rod all the way up to the bracket.

With the new rod, I can push the rod all the way ( towards the passenger side ), up against the bracket. If I do push it all the way in, then the ratchet looking part won't engage.

It seems like this original rod had this "spacer " built onto it.

The 2 rods are identical except for that part.

If you look at the description from the nivel link, it says the plastic part I am asking about covers a DS from 92 up??

. . . note details #18 & 20 . . . they are both spacers . . you need to soak your old rod in WD40 or PB Blaster to remove your old spacer and reuse it . . . it is not a shoulder . . . and you will not see that plastic part from Nivel in this diagram either . . .

Ok, I see part 18, That is the shoulder I was referring to.

Now the plastic part I was originally asking about, where does it go?

. . that plastic pivot rod support bearing is not used . . . I have seen that part called out for linkage on 92-96 CarryAlls, but it is not shown in the diagram I posted for your cart . . . I do not know why Nivel shows it for your cart . . .

here is a diagram of a CarryAll that uses that plastic part . . . see detail #9:

Steve nailed it. You won't see that part on a 1993. This is why I don't use Nivel. The only thing we buy from Nivel is tires. The years they list in their catalog are wrong lots of different items.
