Default Benefits Of A 72V System

What are some main benefits of upgrading to a 72V system? Is it super costly to upgrade? Looking to find out what might attract someone to upgrading to a 72V system. What are some of the main uses? Hunting, speed increase, etc? This a grey area for us as we mainly deal in 24V (for industrial machines), 36V and 48V. Figured we would ask the experts here!

An increase in Volts will result in an increase in speed and extra run time due to the increase in Ah. Costly??? Probably.

You would need to get a 72V rated controller if you don't already have one rated for the higher voltage, bigger solenoid, contactor, extra cables, more batteries and figure out a way to squeeze them into the cart, decide how you're going to charge the extra 24 volts (considering you're already at 48V) and upgrade to a 72V motor or figure out a way to make your current one last as long as possible with the extra rpms you'll be generating.

Hopefully Revolution (search his threads) can chime in and he can give more details since he's the one that comes to mind when I hear 72V upgrades.
