I originally got these for my aging US Batteries that leaked acid significantly when charging and also had a significant acid gas smell during charging. As you know, older batteries tend to smell more when charging as they get towards the end of their life.

I has been a few years since I replaced the US Batteries with Trojan T-125's, but as I wrote in my first post:

Before using the Water Miser Battery Vent Caps - "there was the acid gas smell when charging"

After using the Water Miser Battery Vent Caps - "No more acid gas smell when charging batteries"

When I got my new Trojans, I used the same Water Miser caps on them and also have been very satisfied with them.

"Reduced Fumes / No More Smell" - Totally Bogus ??

Not in my experience, in fact, I was more than than happy with the "no more smell" claim

In my case, perhaps the "no more acid smell" claim comes from "no more acid being collected on the top of the batteries with every charge". And also from a significant portion of the acid vapor being condensed in the cap beads and the filter pad.

I look forward to you trying them and putting them through a substantial test. I believe that you are a man of access to multiple carts ... put them on your worst, oldest, leakiest, smelliest batteries and give them a real test. My old US Batteries were in that condition and these caps met and exceeded my expectations. In fact, I likely got extra life out of those batteries as a result ... otherwise I would have junked them earlier.

Who knows how much more life I will get out of my Trojan's by using these caps?

I also understand that the caps also have a money back guarantee that reads: "All Flow Systems products are 100% unconditionally guaranteed for the period of 1 year from date of purchase. We will accept all returns or exchanges regardless of condition."

[QUOTE=Swan;1729475]I love the ones I got but a a little side note is , you have to clean them about every six months . take them off a soak them them in a 10 to 1 baking soda mix.

Thanks for the cleaning information. I have cleaned mine once in 2.5 years just using water, but perhaps it is time to try it again using the suggested method.

Do they make these for the Trojan 12v T-1275's? I could not find anything definitive.

This system uses one cap per cell. The caps fit 6 v, 8 v and 12 volt batteries. Any combination of 48 volts batteries (4 x 12 volt, 6 x 8 volt or 8 x 6 volt batteries) will require 24 caps total.
