2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Good morning BGW, I have a 48 volt parcar and I can't get it to move forward or reverse. Everything on the dash is working. The solenoid will click when the key is turned on, but that is it. Pedal will not make it click, I checked the micro switch for the pedal and I have no voltage coming to it or going out. I am not sure where to go from here. HELP PLEASE TYIA

There is a green LED on the controller. It will be flashing if not working. Count the flashes and we can start from there.

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
If the solenoid is clicking it's probably good. That leaves you with two things.
1. Motor brushes might be stuck and not sliding nicely in their holders. Would want to pull motor, remove armature and check the brushes. 2. Bad news if #1 doesn't do it, is probably a bad controller. |

Solenoid does not click when the pedal is pressed. Only when the key is turned on and the direction switch it put in forward or reverse

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Thats what I meant. At key on it does click on for a second so it works. The controller is going into shutdown either because of a motor brush or the controller being bad.

Oh ok I understand what you are saying. So I should pull the motor and check the brushes first?? I will do it

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
If not contactor or motor, yes the controller is most likely faulty. Only other teat would bentaking your controller and putting into another similar vehicle and that usually isnt a common option.

Re: 2005 Columbia/ parcar won't move
Definitely not an option. I hate to spend 1100.00 and it not be the controller. One issue it was having is the accelerator was sticking and would have to pull it back up. Not long after this was happening the pedal went free and moved normal. This is when the cart stopped working. All I see is a micro switch under the bottom of the cart. Is there anything there that could be an issue???
