Default California roadster wont move

Have an 08-ish 48 volt California roadster had problems going towards and backwards. Replaced forward/reverse switch now cart lost all power. Any help is appreciated. Acg webpage isnt any help all wire colors are wrong for this cart.

What platform is this thing built on? Club Car, EZ GO, etc?

They are built on there own chassis.


If it ran before you changed the F/R switch, then you need to make sure you didn't mess something else up first before moving on. Ive never changed an F/R switch on one of those, they seem to be bullet proof. Which means we need to back up and figure out what the original issue was. If sometimes it didn't go into Forward or reverse, but would go in those directions sometimes, Id look at solenoid or motor. The early cars where not the best made and had wiring issues that caused a whole cornucopia of problems. Try to get the cart back running at this point then proceed forward.

I may have hook wires up wrong. When I turn on key key nothing lights up and no power to computers. Check all fuses and were good. any ideas how to test them to see if they shorted out?

Also any pictures of the switch on someone else's cart to verify on right spots?
