New here
Hello Cart peeps!!!
For the last 8 months I have been working on this G16E and she is looking TONS better! frame stripped and POR 15'd, body worked and painted, completely rewired, some additional cosmetic mods oh... and new YAMAHA logo! anyhoo, yes, I have the cart bug and am looking forward to the next one! Heres where it gets interesting...... I rebuilt this entire cart (less Motor, controller, solenoid and F/R switch) and after 3 hours on the course... DEAD! Seems the F/R switch was between F and R (running forward) and a terminal at the F/R switch got a little hot.... after correcting the position of the switch, she ran for 2 hrs. when redy to load and take home she was dead!!! I have tested everything out short of jumping the solenoid but am unsure how to isolate testing the F/R switch (i'm guessing here inlies the problem) ..... anyone with any help would be a great help! PICS SOON! |

Re: New here
OK, I had a chance to "jump" the large terminals on the solenoid and still nothing. the solenoid clunks when accelerator is depressed bit no tire rotation in FWD or REV....... I feel kinda dumb as I am unsure how to proceed but I am stumped! Anyone?

Re: New here
(forgot) big sparkage when first "jumped" large terminals but did not repeat on subsequent tries... IDK if that maes any difference but no burnt wires and no burnt fuse(s).....
