Default 07 Charger Problem

48 volt yamaha charger with row of lights up & down. When I plugged the charger in the cart it went through a process of flashing lights and then when to incomplete (light is on). The batteries are low so, if the pack voltage gets too low will the charger not kick on? The pack voltage is 45.5 volts.

07 yamaha cart

Will get more charger information if needed. Cart is about 20 miles from the house.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Your 2007 could have come with 3 differant chargers, Mac (big silver box with lights on the left side) , DPI-(smaller charger box with lites on left side) or the Yamaha charger (very small with lites on right side). You also need 2 things for the chargers to turn on. Must have AC power (check the AC outlet with a lite or radio to verify) and at least 44+ volts in the battery set. The lites will go thru there sequence without AC power (because they are triggered by DC/battery voltage) but will not go to charging without the AC power. Hope that helped.

It is the big silver charger with lights on the left side. I charged the batteries individually and then put them together and plugged the charger in. It went through the process of flashing lights ect. and then the incomplete charge light came on and the charger on light was on. Went back later in the afternoon and the abnormal cycle light was on.

The battery pack had 49 volts on it. I unplugged the charger and plugged it back in and the pack had 54.5 volts when charger was on so, I am ruling the charger out unless.

Thanks for help and will await a response.

OK guys here is the charger info.

Yamaha Charger
Model # SCR481717
DC amps 17
AC amps 10
Amp hrs 165

When the charger is plugged in it goes through the cycle of lights and then goes to charge with the incomplete light on and the charger on too. Once it has been on for a while it will go to adnormal cycle.

Help please

Thanks in advance

Did anyone figure out a solution to this problem? I have the same issue.

Charger flashes lights 3 times then cycles through lights then flashes all lights 3 times then incomplete comes on.

Started some time last week when I was out of town.
