Consider replacing your gears to something close to 15:1. Less than US$300, I believe. But you suffer in top speed.

I saw the post about reprogaming your controller to get more speed.
I think you will lose more torque with the higher speed.

Just remember there is no free lunch, you lose speed with a torque set up and lose torque with a speed set up( as a rule)

If anyone has a magic bullet that performs with good torque and good speed, please provide the info

AC drive?

They're known for hill climbing, don't get overworked when doing so, etc. My CC Precedent can tackle steep hills like a champ; and the battery wires (4 gauge) get warm at worst...VCTech is developing an AC drive kit for Yamaha YDRE. I got a 2007 for a test car coincidently.
