Bad Boy Buggy problems
Not sure where this thread belongs, but I will start it here....
1. for some time the forward switch would only work after first switching to reverse, then to forward. Now, neither forward nor reverse will work until I switch it back and forth 10-12 times. I can turn it on, off, forward, reverse, and it seems to only work when it wants to. As soon as I turn the key on, I do hear a "click" in the battery compartment. 2. I'll describe this problem as best I can...periodically, while going forward, something seems to 'grab' the front wheels and it slows the cart down very quickly. I would also describe it as the same way it would feel if you ran over something with both front tires at the same time..almost like a 'bonk', 'bonk', 'bonk' until the cart stops. Only in forward, does not happen in reverse. 3. One of my headlights is out. Is it just a bulb, or do I need to replace the entire light assembly? Whatever the answer, where do I buy? 4. While I was pulling the cart on a trailer with my truck, I clipped a limb and ripped a section of the plastic (?) roof off the cart. The steel basket was not damaged at all, but I need a replacement roof; preferably at a reasonable price. |

Re: Bad Boy Buggy problems
Almost sounds as if the F/R solenoid is crapping out. That would explain #1. 1 being the solenoid isn't switching or making good contact, 2 the connection drops out from a bad connection possibly the same solenoid or a bad connection. If its making a loud noise then its mechanical.

Re: Bad Boy Buggy problems
the only sound I hear of substance is the clicking sound when I turn the key on.

TFSole-
I'm having same issue with grabbing braking issue. You described it perfectly. Did you ever resolve the issue? (#2 from top post) |

Re: Bad Boy Buggy problems
seems to be a lot of complaints about the "bad boy buggies". The English language is crazy with so many words that have several meanings. The word "bad" can mean "awsome" or "cool" and then it also could mean "broken". I sure hope yours is gonna turn out as one of the first two.

started looking for it by pulling the box off that the pedal goes into. When I pulled it off, it was full of dirt. I cleaned it (and the electrical connections that feed it) out with water & an air hose. That seems to have fixed everything. |

Re: Bad Boy Buggy problems
Thanks. Never thought about pedal box. I'll give it a try. Feels like it has to do with the regen braking system kicking in and out. It is an intermittent problem, so a loose connection sounds possible.
