Default Quiz charger

As most know I’ve only owned my 2012 txt cart a few months
With 4 year old Trojan batteries that have been well maintained , but still plan to replace them in spring due to them approaching end of live even for my limited use of the cart.
Charger had been left in since last week. As I was checking battery voltage with meter, turned headlights on to see their draw (plan on replacing with l e d bulbs) and volts went from 50.1 to 50.0 and behold charger kicked on and charged batteries.
Does this charger have a maint. storage function?
Info on delta web site is unclear on this and don’t know or checked what algorithm charger has in it.
Not a problem just an observation if charger stays pluged in or unplug and plugin every week to maintain batteries till replacing.
Thanks

FWIW
Tonight with charger still pluged in from last nights full charging and pack fully charged.
Turned on lights to let batteries get drawn down.
Voltage hit 49.9 volts ant charger kicked on and charged batteries back up to full charge then shut off.

Now I know I can leave charger pluged in all winter when not using cart and charger will maintain battery charge.
Until now “thought”you had to plug in charger to initiate charging, seems this is not true.

Depends on the make and model of charger.

What quiq charger do you have I have the same delta brand but I dont think mine kicks on to charge after batteries sit. I have a post on here about killing the receptacle power to restart the charging process since mine doesnt seem to restart on it's own.

I don’t know yet if my thunderbull charger kicks back on, but I use a WiFi plug to turn it on and off from my phone.

Or you could set a schedule, an hour or two a week or whatever you want.

Mudslinger I think the on board quiq charger I have came with my cart new.
Only way I know to test for this feature is with charger pluged in, let it charge batteries but leave it pluged in.
Wait a few days and put a draw on batteries( I left head lights on) and see if charger initiates charging process once batteries drain down to 50 volts.
I discovered the charger auto start by accident as there is little on net about it’s operation and settings other then delta recommends leaving charger pluged in while cart is not in use.
Let us know your results😊
