I'm back again... with a new cart
Hey old friends and soon to be new friends! It's been a while but I couldn't stay away. I recently picked up a 48v 2010 EZGO to ride around when we take the camper to Disney World and when we go to our river cabin. I know nothing about electric since all my past carts have been gas so this should be interesting Looking forward to getting back into it. Plans are to put small lift on it with more aggressive tires, dash with radio/speakers and aftermarket headlights. But first I have to make the rear step/platform and portion of handrail detachable so the cart will fit in the bed of truck with tailgate closed.

very nice ride maybe you could put hinges on it so it folds up?

Re: I'm back again... with a new cart
If you are putting it in that F250 in your sig you may be OK once you get the lift/tires on it.
My TXT has a 6" lift, rear seat with trailer hitch mounted beneath the footrest. I drive it nose first into my F250 with the 6 3/4' bed. The tailgate I pull up to about 45 degrees and use 2 straps to hold the tailgate by the strikers so I can then hook up to my 29' camper. Or you could remove the tailgate. The center-line of the rear wheels will be on the bed, not the tailgate. You should be OK so long as you have a method to make sure the ramp won't get stuck under the cart with the tailgate removed. Welcome back! |

Re: I'm back again... with a new cart
I've upgraded trucks, I just can't seem to update my signature pictures on my phone. New truck is a F350 dually with 8' bed, I'd like to keep the tailgate on and just get the tailgate support bars for loading then be able to close tailgate.

Correction, just got home and found the cart is a 36v model. A little disappointed but still like it for what we will use it for.

Re: I'm back again... with a new cart
Pit bull Joe, I have a F250 6’ bed and cart will fit in with tires resting on bed,not on tailgate. The rear bumper keeps tailgate from closing, not the platform. I just use a ratchet strap to secure tailgate up opposed to removing it and load/unload via 10’ foldable ramps.
FYI I too have a bullet ultra lite camper👍 |
