Default Tires

Anyone switched out the knobbys on the lifted carts for something more streetable. Mine are 23 10.5x12, not sure what other sizes might work on the 12” wheels.

The dealer swapped mine out with RHOX Road Hawks. When I test drove the cart, I knew the noise would make me crazy considering most of my driving is on road. I'm very happy with them.

If you didn't want to go full street tires. These were much quieter.

Dealer swapped these for me. No more roar from the tires and much smoother ride.

Can you look at the DOT date on the sidewall of the tire and reply what it is.

Guess I should have clicked on the picture before posting.
At least the one tire was made looks like 0220 if it is ? It's approximately 1 year 3 months old.
Hopefully its 5220 which would only make it little over 4 months old.

When using those numbers to figure out the manufacture date the FIRST two numbers represent the week while the last two numbers represent the year. So for "5220" that would mean that the tires were manufactured during the last week of 2020 while "0220" would represent the second week of 2020.

Yes I'm well aware of that , that's why I put the age 1 year 4 months 0220 and 5220 approx 4 months old ;)

I have another thread on here about a place selling me old stock tires with 3918 on them for new stock ..
The company will not work with me and now will not reply back to me so I have filed a complaint with BBB .

Doesn't really matter that much, tires are good for 10 years and probably more on a garaged vehicle and I will have them worn out long before then.

I went through a similar thing on motorcycle tires, the tires I wanted in the size I needed for my Triumph Bonneville were so hard to find that the ones I bought were about 18 months since manufacture.

Its true that tires begin to age immediately after manufacturing, but being stored indoors in controlled environment the aging is extremely minimal. The biggest factor in tire aging is exposure to sunlight and ozone.

Its extremely difficult to find specialty tires that aren't already a year past manufacturing date. Trailers, lawnmowers, tractors, golf carts, atv, motocycles, etc do not turn over in inventory like on-road vehicles that are sold daily by the millions of units. There are 200 million passenger tires sold annually in the US.
