AllTrax 48600 code
Blinks 2 green and 6 red. Replaced the ITS sensor and connected the wires directly instead of through the plastic connector. Solenoid clicks but no go. Code is still the same. Bought the ITS off Amazon. Appears to be the same that was in the cart. However I noticed quite a price difference when shopping for one. Cart is a 1994 EZGO medalist. Everything seems to point back to the sensor. Is it just possible I bought a crappy new sensor and need to buy from somewhere else. If so, where do I need to purchase?

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
Go into the program on the top left of the opening page click tools, then options, then check enable throttle selections. Set or save if needed.
The open the throttle page and select Ezgo ITS and set. Set will turn blue - wait for it to gray out again. Close the program and drive the cart |

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
The $25 ITS sensors tend to work as well as the $75 ones.
To check which throttle type the SR48600 controller is set to, watch the LED when it powers up. Should flash green four time then go to steady green when set for EZGO ITS. Normal ITS voltages for an Alltrax controller is 10V pedal up and 6V pedal down. The "Low Throttle Under-range" error your getting says the pedal down voltage is significantly less than 6V. The most common cause of this error is crosstalk between the black and white wires at the in-line connector on the end of the gray cable from the pedal box that connects to the cart's wiring harness. The in-line connector is there to make assembly at the factory easier and serves no purpose after cart leaves factory. Best fix is to replace the 4 pin in-line connector with individual solder joints or butt-splices and waterproof the connections with marine grade (adhesive filled) shrink tubing. |

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
Is this the connector you were referring to? Controller does blink green 4 times so it seems to be set correctly. The only recent change that I should have mentioned was an upgraded F/R switch from ScottieB. Cart ran for about 5 rounds of golf after and then started this.

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
That appears to be the connector I was referring to. Already been removed it appears.
Measure the voltage between the black and white wires at the controller. Should be 10V with pedal up and 6V with pedal down. What are you getting? |

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
Both pedal up and pedal down are way under voltage.
Pull the ITS wires at the SR and measure between the empty jacks. I can't remember what the voltage ought to be, but it is more than 10V. The way the ITS works with an Alltrax controller is it is fed by a constant current source and when the impedance of the ITS sensor changes, the voltage changes to keep the amp flow the same. When the plunger moved by the pedal is inserted into the sensor tunnel, the impedance of the sensor decreases, so the voltage applied by the controller decreases to keep the amp flow the same. (Curtis controllers do it differently) Since the voltage is lower than it should be, there is less impedance between the black and white wires than there ought to be, so the wires might be touching somewhere. Try running a new set of wires. |

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
Ran two new wires from the controller to the sensor. No change. Any other ideas?

Re: AllTrax 48600 code
Bad sensor or bad controller.
Check the ITS voltage at the controller without the black and white wires connected. Ought to be well above 10V. |
