Re: Club car gas won't start
As Springbok says, I had the exact same problem and had taken the starter off to have it replaced. I used the battery charger to test the starter and it turned over fine. When battery was resting it was like 12.3v but under load from starter it dropped to 11.5. I replaced the battery and it worked fine.
If you take the starter off do a bench test with battery charger, cherger hot lead goes where large white wire was and black goes where large ground strap was and it should turn fine. |

Re: Club car gas won't start
I can't start my 98 gas club car either. The solenoid clicks, and once in a while the clutch starts to turn (1/4) turn and that's it. Found a thread on testing the solenoid and tested that and it tested good. Any suggestions? How do I test limit switches? Also I replaced the voltage regulator a week ago and cart was running ok but I tested output to battery and it was 16-17 volts (with the new voltage regulator)
