Re: EzGo gas 1997 TXT - To Rebuild or not?
I am located in North Macon GA. I guess I will try and pull this thing apart. I appreciate all the help everyone has given so far. Hopefully this post will turn into a full rebuild.

We have an OEM EZGO (Robin 295cc) take out from an install we just did. Started up just fine, our customer wanted more power with an aftermarket kit. It's available.

Re: EzGo gas 1997 TXT - To Rebuild or not?
It looks like you decided to rebuild. However, I've got a spare 350 pre mci that I bought when mine needed rebuilding a couple months ago. It was in the cart and I test drove it and checked compression prior to buying it. It ran fine and had compression in the 130-140 range. It has fresh oil, and plugs and comes with everything except the air box, muffler and clutch.
PM me if with your number if you are interested. I'm in San Diego. |

Trying to get the head off of this cart to see the damage. I cannot break the bolts loose to save my life. Is drilling these out an option or is that dangerous?

That is a last resort when you have broken the bolt.
Take it to a friends use a hammer and a drift to give a good whack downward on each bolt and then use an impact on them. Buzz right off. |

Re: EzGo gas 1997 TXT - To Rebuild or not?
Well the good news is it looks like one of the pistons is not moving. So hopefully this means something remotely fixable! However, I still can't get it open. Wd40 and a cheetah bar have failed me.
