G9 Fuel pumps
Hi all. I have a 1995 G9 and the fuel pump seems to be struggling a bit - the guy I bought the G9 off told me it had been run out of fuel so the gasket may have dried out and be letting in a bit of air??? Is this a known fault/problem or is the guy talking rubbish?? You're knowledge as always is appreciated.

Re: G9 Fuel pumps
Check the line going to crank case and make sure it's not plugged

Re: G9 Fuel pumps
Rubbish, but is common for the lines to get cracked and leak air. Lot of people put new rubber line on the whole fuel system. The pump can go bad and need new diaphragms but its not very common at all. I've never touched my G9 pump and now its running a clone engine with a Vegas cam. There is also a metal valve on the side of the cylinder that should be cleaned, in the pulse line that tees off the pump.
