I don’t guess there’s a sticky or anything somewhere that it’s a pretty good guide on tear down and put back together as there ?

Found the manuals. Got it started but stuck at the clutch removal. Will any clutch tool work? Can this been done with the engine in the cart?

I find it easier to take the engine out, as the clutch comes off easier without getting hung on the frame.

Dang it. Need to clear more room, hahaha.

Any particular puller? Or can I just rent one from autozone.

It is posted on this site on how to make one. Lots of things are in the Sticky's like manuals and good info. Here is the puller info

Fastenal has 3/4-16 fine thread bolts on their website. I'm sure Grainger would have some as well.

Just order a puller. Google ezgo drive clutch puller and you will see them. Might be quicker than trying to find something to make one with. Fine thread is almost a thing of the past . You get get one for around $20. A good tool to have.

Also to add on why I suggested buying one. I have probably pulled 50 driven clutches off in the last 5 years and never once did I fail to get one off using the homemade tool until yesterday.

Not only did I have to use a torch to heat the clutch a little I bent the 4 inch bar steel plus flaring the end of it. I know this has been mentioned here before and I think CP241 was the one who warned against this method. No harm to crankshaft though

Thank you CP241 for putting a hex on me
Now I am in you and Cartmasters club . Nincompoops

I put the clutch on this engine back in May of this year but it wouldn't come off using my homemade tool yesterday with air wrench

I will just make another one because I am too cheap to buy a new tool and because I can get one off if stuck .

The home user might not be as lucky .

When mine came off this morning after applying the light heat I was ready because it had so much force on it. The clutch almost hit the floor but I was prepared and the day was saved.

Just a warning on what can happen using one of these homemade tools.
