G2 Driven Clutch Spring Shimming
I've got a g2 that has a weak driven clutch spring. I was wondering if anyone has shimmed the backside of the clutch against the clip to help increase spring tension. Obviously I plan on replacing the spring with a high tourqe spring but that a few weeks down the road.

You can also remove the spring and try stretching it out. I've done it, and it might help in a pinch for a short term solution. If it's an original spring it might not help, they just loose their tension over time. Stretching it can help a bit but it will eventually find it's way back to being squished. |
