Default CC DS eats fuel pumps?

I have an '01 DS that is stock except for the zip ties around the gov. I just put the fourth fuel pump in it. I have had this cart for 3 years and it does get used on some trails in the woods and towing a trailer with yard waste back to the woods. the first time I replaced it I replaced both filters and the third time I replaced the filters and the fuel and vacuum lines. Is it possible that the carb is causing this or maybe to much vacuum?

its possible its just where your using it.......the more dirt and gravel your in the harder on the pumps it is.............i never recomend this for most people but have you thought about a 12 volt elec. fuel pump over the vacume pump? it might solve your problem............................

Four pumps in 3 years?? That's crazy! I have ten 01's still carrying two beefy golfers, they're clubs and all they're stuff around gravel carts path and haven't replaced one fuel pump. When there have been fuel supply issues with these carts it's usually: 1. the screen on the front of the pump is dirty and won't work properly. 2. the vacume line is plugged in the crankcase.

Any of the carts with the golfers on them have the zip ties on the governor?

I think it is crazy also but it's mine so I know its doing it! I do keep the engine area clean because of the screen on the pump, and I know its the pump because it rolls over but wont start, I replace the pump and it run fine again. I would be willing to use a electric pump like shadowman says but what pressure would I need?

Just a thought. Are you by chance using a fuel with a high amount of ethynol in it?
