Re: Jay's build
Take a ratchet strap and wrap around your bumper and steering wheel. Apply as much pressure as possible and tap the rear of the wheel with a heavy hammer.
I was replacing my steering wheel and did not worry about marring the wheel! I would not advise the two person method as I'm not sure the person pulling would love to take a steering wheel to their face :)! |

Re: Jay's build
I have not tried real hard to get the wheel off yet. My biggest concern is there is not a nut holding it on and the threads are all buggered up. On the hunt for a die to try fixing the threads myself. I have learned over the years it is sometimes cheaper to buy the tool and do it yourself instead of paying a shop to do it. If all fails I will have to pull it all apart and send it to work with the neighbor for a repair. I get a decent shop rate from him but still looking like a 20 dollar die might work. Besides, we can never have too many tools right

Re: Jay's build
Mine is a old farm hand shanty that is basic construction on a concrete slab. Good enough to be called a workshop for me and does a good job of holding the heat in
