G2 brake problem
Brakes on my G2 don't work. Replaced the pads and still no better. The drums are wore but don't look bad enough to where they shouldn't work. The only thing I can think of is the cables running back are stretched and now allowing the pads to open up completely. Anyone ran into anything like this before?

Re: G2 brake problem
I did a write up on break replacement in the G8 club if you care to look. I found out the hard way, that if you didn't use Genuine Yamaha shoes, your car won't stop for crap!!

Re: G2 brake problem
You can take slack out of the cables, up where the brake pedal is. Under the floor plate.
But, adjust the star wheel inside the drums, first. |
