Default 1988 gas ezgo

I am thinking of buying a 1988 gas ezgo that needs motor overhaul.
the crank has been snapped into 2 pieces between the block and clutch
I can buy a complete overhaul kit with a new crank, piston, rings, brgs, seals
for about $350.00. and thr cart for $250.00. do you guys think its worth it?
I can do the work my self. Also I would like a wireing diaphram for it.

I would say that it is worth it. If nothing else, Buy it and restore the cart and sell it to buy another. I bought a 80 model and restored it and made about 1200 dollars profit off of it. Just my opinion though....

Thanks for the welcome guys. The body is in fair shape and tires seem to be in good condition. If I get a chance i'll post some pics. I have a 1994 elect that runs good the only thing about it is I have to buy batteries for it, but I can repair a gas one.
