Default another g14 clutch issue

I just installed a power kit on my g14 that included a new belt spring and machined sheeve. The problem i have now is the cart moves as soon as you hit the starter and it has lost some top end speed. After watching the clutch work with the cart jacked up you can see the engine move back as the more the clutch engages the more the engine moves back? Anyone else have this issue? Could it just be the motor mounts?
Thanks

Likely is mainly motor mounts. I have heard reports of loosing top speed with the heavier spring, but i have not seen any big deal of it.

As for as engine moving back check to see if the engine tensioner is on . It is located in front of starter/ generator. If not this will let the engine move. I know as mine was missing when I got my cart.

http://www.golfcartking.com/Yamaha-G...er-p/13278.htm

This is the factory tensioner

I made mine like Mike Mac on here did .

Look under your starter on the frame should be a bracket on the frame and another on the engine . The tensioner goes between them and has an adjustment. If you look at the pic on the site I posted you should be able to see where the barrel part goes on yours if you are missing one .

Here are some pics of Mike's he made . Mine is just like it .
