![]() I have an inspection tomorrow AM to convert my cart to "street legal".
I waited to the last minute in connecting the lighted license plate holder and can't seem to get it to work even though I know it's a simple connection. The light just has a single black wire coming from it. Also, I have a 12v battery reducer. Can someone please tell me how to connect this black wire?? Thank you! |

![]() automotive units use the body or the frame as a ground, you'll have to run a ground wire from the light unit to the minus 12 v

![]() I don't know what state you are in, but here in Florida you can have a battery operated one. In other words, do something quick and dirty to get you pass the inspection, and then come back and do it "right".
For the record, mine had two wires, in which I spliced them into the + and - wires of the tail light circuit so it comes on evertime my lights come on. |
