ScottyB, I was just on your site and see the packages. Excellent pricing. I will be at the camp with the golf cart on Thursday will you be around so I can make sure we order the right kit from you.

Thanks,

Jim

JB, you may want to email or call Scotty directly. As I stated in my earlier post, I don't have a lot of experience with carts but, when I redid my cart all the stuff came from Scotty. He sells quality stuff, at reasonable prices. A few things you will also get are his first class customer service and a very good set of step by step instructions for your installation. Good luck and keeps us posted on your progress.

I was on ddmotorsystems.com site and looks like there are a ton of different models, I know mine is a 2004 and believe since it has the tow/run under seat it is a regen series.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

BTW DD wants to sell me the whole thing with motor but I think I would rather try the first three things Controller, Solenoid and wire

Thanks,

Jim you need to find the problem before you do anything else. Replacing expensive parts without knowing what is wrong is just going to cost you money. There are only a few possible problems that can cause those symptoms. I assume you have an 04 Precedent based on your description and the 4x12 setup. The older precedents used the 4x12 setup though they have moved away from it in recent years. The difference in the two setups is minimal, and if the 4 12's were new then they screwed you on a set of batteries. The most common two problems to cause what you describe are a failed speed sensor or a soon to fail MCOR. The MCOR is located under the floor attached to the gas pedal, the speed sensor is on the passenger side of the motor. The speed sensor can be bought for less than $60, the MCOR less than $200. Also, if you do the speed sensor check the condition of the magnet that is mounted under it. Make sure it isn't cracked or chipped as that can cause bad signals and give poor performance. Once you have eliminated the basic potential issues, you can then move on to the expensive possibilities

STANG99X - you were absolutely right, MCOR was reading 69% throttle when fully depressed which I am sure when I hit hills it was in the 40's we changed that and was up at 93%

Thanks for your help
