Default Ezgo Marathon 2pg has a hard time starting after its been drove for a few minutes.

At first my cart was not firing and had bad gas issues. I got a new OEM carb for it, replaced spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, fuel lines, and belts. I got it to where it starts almost instantly but after a while of running it, it has a hard time to start back up. I can see that it is getting a good amount of fuel (I have the see through yellow fuel lines). Compression test reads 115 psi. Now I feel like im stuck. Any help is appreciated.

I’d start by checking for spark when it doesn’t want to start.

Also maybe try a muffler bbq if it’s restricted it may have a hard time breathing when it’s hot. I’ve had a couple 4wheelers do this.

Do i just build a fire and put it on top? i'm guessing this is to let the oil burn out of the muffler.

Here's how I did mine, if you look close you'll see a different color flame a few inches above the top pipe (third pic). I cooked it hot hot hot for a few hours, I tested it once in a while with a temperature gun best I could. It read over 1000*, hard to tell though if that was the heat from the fire or the actual muffler itself. But get it Hot and look for flame shooting out, it's kinda fun..

I'll give it a try tonight when I get home from work, I will keep you guys posted on how it goes. Hopefully thats the problem. I do recall that when I bought the cart, the guy have the muffle and exhaust disconnected for whatever reason, so maybe he knew it was clogged.

Definitely check for spark when it starts acting up. If that isn't the problem, think about crankshaft seals.
