Default 2 questions

#! is there some way to save/print posted thumbnails? when i try it says no can do. really would like to save some of this neat stuff.

#2 has anyone tried the alum batt. tray that i have seen on ebay for $119?
do you think it be strong enough? sounds like a good solution for us that are either fab deficient or too lazy or too whatever.

okay, figured out the pic part, but still would like to here if any has an opinion about alum. battery trays. and i know, every has one just like our other parts. jim

I haven't looked at the fleabay trays but I have made some trays out of 6061T6 structural alum angle. IIRC I used 1.50x1.50x.125 angle. I don't see an issue with using aluminum for the trays other than cost. I welded the trays together then used stainless rivets to connect to chassis then covered it all with the spray on bedliner stuff.

A note of caution: aluminum angle comes in two different types. One I believe is called architectural and the other is structural. You'll definitely want the structural because a 36v pack should weigh in around 400# and at the current price I don't think you want to be dropping those puppies down to the ground!!!
