Default How do I properly adjust accelerator cable?

Hello,
I need help with proper installation and adjustment of a new accelerator cable on a 2001 gas EZGO. If anyone can "talk" me through it I would appreciate it.

Hi, welcome, take some time to look through the sticky threads on how to maintain your cart.
look here for adjustment and also check out the tech service manual, it tells step by step how to do theses things.

Installed acc. cable per maintenance manual and stick thread instructions, still cannot get cart to start and run all the time, starts occasionally and only runs for a couple of minutes then dies, with a lot of cranking before it fires again. Any ideas on what I may have done or not done?

Are these problems related? Were you having start/run problems before the cable change?

ruredy,
Thanks for the help, I don't think these are related, as the cart seemed to be fine prior to the cable breaking. After the new install, and after it did not start after re-doing the entire linkage assemblies, I took the carb off and cleaned, blew out with air, re-checked and adjusted the valves to .004 cold. I put it all back together and cannot seem the get it running again.
How much time is there supposed to be after the micro switch click and the engine turns over?
ANY and ALL info is greatly appreciated, as I don't have much more hair that I can loose!

The engine will start turning over as soon as the micro switch is activated. Check your fuses, wire connection (loose, corroded, missing) and for a ground to the engine. The micro switch activates a solenoid that sends power to the system. I normally don't tell people to jump solenoids, there are other ways to test it. A multi meter for checking if power is getting to it works for me. The technicians service manual can help with trouble shooting

The micro-switch clicks and the engine tries to start, so I think the problem is somewhere else. I checked fuel pump, re-checked valves any other thoughts? Could it be that somewhere the linkage is not adjusted correctly?
