The front plastic rectangle pc has 2 metal supports under it at 1/3 and 2/3's its length. I guess you could do the same under the same size pc of plastic that is under the seat back. I really don't think too many folks are designing a light enough rear seat kit to also hold 500lbs when folded in the down position. Just my thought on it....
