Help identifying gas Yamaha cart
Hello all,
I just acquired a new cart. It is lifted with long travel arms & 25" tires. It is a Yamaha cart that resides on a Yamaha cart. I want to identify both the chassis as well as the body for when I buy parts for it. I have not dug into it much at all. Just got it home. Was told that it's a two stroke engine. Front arms look like the old Yamaha Banshee (ATV) J-Arms. Engine is marked Yamaha. I'll attach some photos and ask/answer any questions that arise. |

Re: Help identifying gas Yamaha cart
I'm more concerned with identifying the chassis than the specifics of the body. I think that the body is '96 & up EZGO TXT? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Help identifying gas Yamaha cart
To provide more detail,
I was specifically looking for what generation this is, based off of the front suspension and engine. I was also looking for some guidance as to where to start looking for a serial. Number? Is it very common to see EZGO bodies swapped onto this era Yamaha cart? Seems a little strange, but the price was right. :-) Thanks for any help! Nik C. |

Re: Help identifying gas Yamaha cart
If it is a g1 chassis serial number is on square tube behind rear tire facing towards the back bumper if that makes any sense

Re: Help identifying gas Yamaha cart
Looks like a G1 wih a ezgo body (and a nice looking conversion job at that). Another place for a SN on G1 is on frame facing up between rear shocks. Will look like this "J##-######", only letter in a G1 SN is "J" at the beginning. And will have exactally 6 numbers after the dash.

Awesome! Thanks guys! I'll post up with any additional questions! I'm having some issues with it running well but haven't messed with it much at all yet.
Thanks for the help! |
