Help ID'ing cart model and ign. coil
Hello - I just picked up what I was told is a 1997 G16A gas cart. Based on what I have read so far, I believe the cart has an ignition problem as after it warms up it will not start. Last night I was digging around for the coil but what I found was not what I expected to see. Instead of the coil being triggered by the flywheel, it is mounted on the case.
The only identifiers is it is marked JF2... So my questions are is this cart a G16A based on this info and could the coil be causing the issue? Thanks in advanced! |

Find the cart serial # here. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/gas-y...-locators.html
Does the engine look like this? TCI part # JN6-85640-01-00 Use the OEM part--aftermarket ones are crap. |

Thanks for the fast reply... The engine does not look like that. Mine has the valve cover on top and it is cast with Yamaha on it.

Yes just like that. I have a different muffler. I scraped off some paint and found a sticker with JN3-008582. Mean anything?
As far as the coi bing badl, it is a fuel related issue. Plastic intake was torqued on and cracked and the carb is leaking every where. Thanks for the pics and help! |

Thanks to all. It is infact a G14 as I was able to scrape off layers of paint and find the tag on the frame.
I am sure I will be back with a million questions as the modding begins! Just ordered the Jakes LT lift kit. Can't hardly wait! |
