G22 starter/generator
Soooooo I was putting new brushes in my starter/generator.... First three went easy,,,, but the fourth did not.... It was the bottom brush when the generator is mounted and the phillips slot was ruined by corrosion and rust..... no luck in removing it,,, penetrating oil was of no use tried to get a hold of it with vise grips but was just trying to destroy/bend it...... can this part be purchased separately or is a new starter/generator in my future?

Re: G22 starter/generator
Yes, part#jn6-h1119-00-00 @148.25 with Hitatchi brushes and springs (man the price went up!) Might try useing a pair of small visegrips or needle nose to hold the metal strap while useing some visegrips to brake the screw loose. You can bend the mounting strap back as needed. Lord knows I've had to do it a 100 fold. Good luck!
