I also installed the dash and wired all the switches and lights etc.. still have to run pos and neg wires to fuse panel.

Installed battery cables, wired alt, hooked power to fuse box and fired it up tonight. Used new google pixel phone to record but I do not have a data cable yet to put vid on computer so I uploaded it to facebook.

blue it is. have to see after 24 hours if it dries darker. lighter than color on label..

was able to take apart engine to install new carb and timing plate, I was able to get as far as mounting the plate. I did have to cut the screws down provided by vegas carts to mount the plate, on this Duramax engine the provided bolts bottomed out and I had to remove 4 threads to secure plate.
in this 1st pic studs are cut down, have not filed yet. I also marked where coil edge sits in original position to check and make sure it was at 0 deg when mounted on advance plate.  2nd pic advance plate is mounted.  |
