Won't stay running
My 2003 ds starts right up and drives most of the time some times it only runs for a few seconds then dies starts right up when the motor slows down. It will do this for quiet awhile. Then just drive off like nothing.? I am wondering if it could be some kind of rev limiter issue? I'm fairly sure it's not a fuel problem. Any help would be appreciated.

When it dies is it after running at full throttle for a bit? Does it just cut off, or stumble like it's running out of gas?

Yep it spins up then it's like it is shut off. Then repeat once the starter kicks in again. It smells real rich. I wonder if I can take the rev limiter out to see if it's it?
