I would start by asking if it is the original OEM Mikuni carburetor or an aftermarket from amazon/ebay/somewhere else.

Does pulling the choke help any when it dies out?

Pulling the choke makes it back fire and it trys to stay running . I have a OEM Carb on it now and I have tryed a few carbs already and get the same results

Is the airbox connected? Maybe try and do it with an open carb. For testing purposes it may help. I'm not familiar with the pioneer but if the intake is like the DS where it runs under the Camry all the way to the front, up the fender and under the front cowl, I've seen thoss smashed, full of mud, all sorts of things. May be restricted?
