Is your cart lifted? If it is, it should not be on the full mark on the dipstick

To clarify,A little blue-smoke on start-up is either a ring-problem or a valve-guide/seal problem. Both are common on Ez-Gos' and Yamaha G2s'.Neither is going to cause any damage. As Popatop stated, you can't use the dipstick if its' lifted, since it will overfill and cause blowby.Synthetic is better for them, since they are splash-lube.Heavier oil is not the answer on a splash-lube engine. If the factory-spec. is 10w40,then run it,even if you switch to synthetic(I run it in all our carts).I raced Go-Karts for many years and a 4-stroke won't last a race on regular oil, sythetics will let them survive a whole season!Run a compression-test,If its' in spec.chalk it up as normal-wear,and tear it down when you have time or money to do so.Hope this helps.

Yea it's smoking for a reason and it will not fix itself.Straight 30 is a good idea.
