So what i would like to know is it better to mix the fuel? What steps do i take in removin oil injector? And is the ijector able to be removed. When doin this? I really believe in leavin everything original,, but want to be safe.... Appreciate all opinions.. Thanks |

Re: OIL INJECTOR or MIXED FUEL
I think it's better to premix as then you never have to worry about the pump not working and your engine not getting oil.
I can't tell you where to start on removing it as mine is an 88 and never had one |

mix fuel 128:1. 1oz oil to 1 gallon of gas. best to mix in a seperate gas can. if govener is removed 100:1. 1.5oz to 1 gallon of gas. about the pre oiler i think there is only 2 holes to plug: 1 in the inkae and one in the fan housing area. i hope someone comes along to verify as ive never had to take one off. hope this helps.

Re: OIL INJECTOR or MIXED FUEL
I have a 92 2-cycle Marathon and when I removed my oiler the only hole I had to plug was on the intake. I'd recommend removal, It's a lot easier and worry free.

Re: OIL INJECTOR or MIXED FUEL
Get a Metric 6 bolt, and use a little Loctite or even any type of gasket goo You have lying around and seal up the intake hole, just remove the rest (the hole on the front of the engine where the pump mounts doesn't need to be sealed)

Re: OIL INJECTOR or MIXED FUEL
I use the oil injector and mix 1 ounce of oil per gallon. I have been using mine this way for 4 years on the roads at 20+ mph. I smoked the motor using just injection. We have it on Kelleys Island and drive 300 to 400 miles per summer and she just keeps going. I tried 1.5ounces per gallon but it was too much.

If I understand you correctly you mix and use the injection system, that amounts to 2 ounces per gallon |

Re: OIL INJECTOR or MIXED FUEL
May I ask as to why the oil injector would quit?
I have the old bango bolt off the old carb. Your welcome to it. Cheers Don. |
