The idea is that without the governor, you will occasionally rev the engine higher than the designers intended. So- hopefully a little extra lubrication from more oil in the mix will offset some of the extra stress of over-revving the motor.

Also remember that the more oil you put in, the leaner the fuel mix will be. Lean fuel mix will make it run a little hot in the warm weather, so use higher octane fuel. Just a thought....

Although at 100:1 you'll probably never have any lean conditions. If you were at 50:1 or 35:1 like some I've seen here then that would be different. 100:1 is a good mix. I run 80:1 in my Yammie, it seems to like that. It does smoke a little though.
