I'm not even sure if this is in the correct sub-forum, if it is not could a mod move it?

So The dash is busted up as you can see in this picture, and I ordered a new one for a little over a hundred bucks. If I'm going to put this much effort into it I might as well replace those parts that are obviously going to detract from the final product.

I also pulled out the rubber floor mat and found TONS of crap. Pens, pencils, grease pencils, china markers, grease, a perfectly preserved dead lizard, etc. I used the power washer to clean the garbage off... I'm sure my grass is going to die there. Unfortunately I tore the rubber floor mat trying to slip it over the brake pedal.

I lightly sanded the entire body down with 220 grit sand paper. This plastic has some pretty deep gouges in it and I filled a few but this is not a show paint job so I decided not to stress about it and just blow some color on it.
Before:

After:

With the roof stripped off, the back seat removed, the back rest removed and all of the plastic gone it does increase the top speed by 1mph all the way to 18! (The GPS speedometer app on the phone is coming in handy.)

Made a little progress.

I painted the front "bumper", scuff guards, and bagwell guard.

I painted the hubcaps the requisite Subaru gold:

And, I painted some of the dash pieces to try and tie-together the color scheme. At this point I regret this as it doesn't look all that cool while uninstalled.

And I ordered 100 of those little push in plugs from eBay for 12 bucks. As far as I can tell I only need 28 of them. Anybody else want a few for a few bucks?
