Default 1999 Gas EZGO

Cart has been sitting for a year, it was running fine but, now it will not start. Fuel pump wont suck any fuel. Checked hose from crank and it has vacuume. Took apart fuel pump and replicated suction on pump with my mouth and I can see the plastic piston moving. What could be the problem?

Have you tried drawing fuel from the tank through the hose to the pump?

No. If you take the fuel line off the pump that comes from the tank, can you suck fuel through it? The pump may just need to be primed.

I'm now getting a small stream of fuel after priming pump and changing fuel lines but, cart still wont start. How much fuel should I be getting out of the fuel pump? Right now its light squirts. How can I check if the problem is now the carb? When I squirt starting fluid in carb it wants to start but, just doesnt.

Cart has been sitting for a year,
Time to take the carb off and clean every little hole and jet.

Is small squirts of fuel enough coming out of the pump?

everybodys small squerts are diffrent, but you should have a good flow out of the pump. Normally if I pull the hose off the pump and crank the engine it should shoot gas 4-6 inches all over the place

No it doesnt squirt that much, just a small squirt. A slow stream out of the hose when I remove it from the carb. The pump sucks just enough fuel to fill the fuel filter only a quarter of the way. but, when I remove the hose that comes from the crank vacuume I feel pulsating sucking.
