Default Need help Identifying part name

So my kids took my 81 marathon for a little joy-ride this weekend and broke the old girl. They turned sharply at "high speed" and lost all steering. Found out shortly after that this part (in the pic) had broke. I now need help identifying exactly what it is called so I can replace it. It is the rod that moves in and out from the steering box. I thought about welding it back together, but it is bent and mangled in such a way that replacement might be easier than fooling with repairing. Any help identifying this part name would be appreciated.

It appears that I may need something like this to complete the repair? I am assuming the stud/bolt snapped off of the ball joint?

You would be correct. That is exactly what you need to replace it. I would not try to repair it. Easy repair to do. Good luck.
