Um, is this broke?
Doing a full rebuild on this after buying it. I can see a small plastic button on the bottom right side in the driven clutch. It doesn't seem like this should be there, and it doesn't really want to pull out. Was this what originally rode against the governor arm before the plastic got trashed?
Thanks |

Re: Um, is this broke?
More or less just the cover itself If I remember . Its been awhile since I even looked at the cover. There not to expensive and you will want one on if you plan on driving around at all. $8 or $9 bucks.Keep all the crap out of your clutch. Im in the same boat as you . Full rebuild. Full motor job. New carb, fuel pump, clutches, motor mounts.etc........The cheapest place I found for clutches( hopefuly not p#@% off the site sponsors) was blockbuster golf carts. $174.38.

Re: Um, is this broke?
I didn't even realize you could get the covers, ordering one now. I have no idea what kind of shape the clutches are in. Just going on blind faith that they will be the one thing that's not shot on this cart.......

Re: Um, is this broke?
Hello, I am new to forum and have just done a rebuild of a 2pg engine. Got it running and have run into the same problem...driven clutch cover missing cap. Where would I go to find one of these??
Thanks |

Re: Um, is this broke?
Hi, here is a link to the forum sponsors, several of them should have it.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/site-sponsors.php I didn't know, and got my from another vendor. I think I might be shot if I put a link to it on here. It's called a Clutch Cover & Button Kit For E-Z-Go Gas (2 Cycle) 1976 To 1988. |
