Default 94 marathon brakes

I have a 94 4stroke marathon

my father-in-law has gas club car and i drove it this week and the brakes stop on a dime...

my cart kinda slows to a stop..I am guessing it needs brake pads..is this easy or should i be warned first!!! it looks like a rear chevy car style..but thinking it could be a mess!

thanks

EZGO brakes are notoriously, well ... not the best. Pads are easy, provided the adjusters are clean and not frozen up, pins good, etc - best way to deal with it is *just* like you said, think early GM drums - take a look around, clean and lube where needed (avoid lube where not) adjust to the point of nervous, and go from there. As a rule, that will keep you scared but your pants clean (they're still EXGO brakes, LOL)

Cables bind too, btw - just another point of contention ....
