Default 83 EZGO Clutch Problems

Have a 83 EZGO that I completely rebuilt last year including drive clutch. It ran great last year, pulling it out for this season I have found problem. PROBLEM - during engine start the cart moves forward or reverse during engine crank and once engine start she takes right off. Is it possible that the drive clutch does not go back to an idol position. Anybody have any photos of the drive clutch in engine off/idol position. If the clutch is not the issues does anyone have any ideals of that this could be. Appreciate the help. Thanks.

I'm almost thinking your drive clutch is sticking a bit. Once you get it running is everything ok? You might have to jack your engine up to do this, but get the main bolt out of the center of the drive clutch and get the cover off of it. Get an air gun in there and some WD or some such stuff. Take the belt off and by hand shove the clutch in and out a few dozen times. this might fix it, or at least you might feel if something is off with the clutch.

Thanks for the feedback. I did jack it up and run hammer down for a couple of seconds did not seem to help. I will remove belt and see if I feel anything . Thanks for the tip and will let you know how it works out.
