Default Re: additional battery on my gas cart?

Anyone ever heard of using a yellow top optima just for accessories? If so how did it work and I keep seeing about a special charger that you need anyone have more details, or is this just for using in electric carts? Thanks in advance.

Well after several beers sitting around stareing at the cart I finished my project. I added an optima yellow top battery for my cd player and amp and accesssories. (I hope this battery works out if not its a quick fix) I built a box for the 10" kicker solo baric speaker to fit under the rear seat. In behind the speaker i built a stand for the battery to sit in. I ran 8 gauge wire up to the fuse block that i put in the dash. I built a board out of wood to mount the amp on, I was able to fit it in the center of the dash. It turned out really nice, this thing will thump. I also added 2 infinity tweeters to the rear of the stereo bar facing the rear, those things made a huge difference. I updated my 5 1/4 with rockford fosgates. Once I upload pictures I will post. Thanks for all the info and advice.

That is awesome. I found some marine amps from kenwood that are tiny class D amps, perfect for carts and boats.

If you could fit some 6x9 on each side of that sub box, that would make the neighbors happy. I found in boats that 6x9/7x10 really carry sound in open spaces and sound nice. But just a suggestion you may not need more output it looks great. I want to do my cart but I ride in the woods and people would just yell at me lol. I do have 15s in my car at least.
