My question is, would the f/r have power going to it without the key on and pedal being pushed. If not what I said would make sense.

Agreed if nothing is smoking then you are loosing conductivity = a bad connection.
Check (with test meter) at the battery pack mains. If same drop is seen - inspect battery to battery cables & check each individual battery under same load. IF all batteries the same, I saw a cable end do this at the motor once. PS I love the guess that the cart is trying to go forwards and reverse at the same time. |

From the inexperienced (me) to the experienced (you guys), my thanks.......simple fix...found a loose cable on the battery pack....now I know what low or intermittent voltage looks like.....saved me a lot of grief.....thanks again

Make sure all of your connections are really clean and tight. You are lucky that your bad connection was really bad because if it's just partially bad you can melt a battery post.
