Steeriing difference btwn TXT and RXV
Hello everyone
I'm having trouble deciding between a TXT and an RXV. Among the many differences I thought I detected the TXT having a "looser" feel to the steering wheel than the RXV. To be fair the TXT is a 2010 re-manufactured, so it has seen a lot of golf play time whereas the RXV is a 2014 with far less travel time to wear it out. In general does the TXT have a looser feel than and RXV, all things being equal? Thanks in advance. Mike |

Re: Steeriing difference btwn TXT and RXV
Two different animals. The TXT uses a leaf spring/straight axle type of suspension. This style has it's origins with the invention of the wheel.
The RXV is a coil spring/A arm type. Much more similarities to the average car that has been produced since the end of WWII. Like the different systems themselves, there will be different feels. That's not to say there are not potential issues with either. But, if you want a more car like ride, or something closer to what you drive every day, go with the RXV. |

Re: Steeriing difference btwn TXT and RXV
Thanks Chloe and CGTech. I drove them both again and your description is very accurate. While the RXV was a better steering experience, I don't think the TXT steering was bad enough to make me avoid it. I think I'd like to do the upgrading I read about, which I can't do with the RXV.
Thanks again Mike |

Re: Steeriing difference btwn TXT and RXV
You can put a steering stabilizer on it. It will help dampen the "recoil" felt while driving. It won't make any real difference in steer-ability. If you are going to lift and add big tires/wheels. It could help the cart track a bit better.
