Default Still learning batteries

I have new set of batteries for 36v cart. Using Scottyb break-in tutorial.

I put a charge on them and charger goes off and the pack settles after 10-12 hours at 38.5

The SOC chart shows 38.2 being 100%. Is it any concern or issue that mine seem to settle at little higher at 38.5?

Using Scottyb voltage meter i installed to read the pack...

The voltages on the SoC charts are the average voltages obtained from a sample population of mature (broken in) batteries.

Newer batteries tend to have a higher 100% SoC voltage while older batteries tend to have lower 100% SoC voltage.

Basically, a SoC chart is an analog yardstick rather than digital calipers.

38.5V is nothing to worry about.

That plus 'settled' is a relative term. Wait 6 more hours and the reading may drop. And 1/10th of a volt is the +/- accuracy tolerance for the meter. So Yeah, nothing to get worried about.

Also, some brand batteries have a higher voltage at 100% SoC than others.

Trojan = 38.2V
Exide = 38.3V
Us Battery = 38.5V

From about 90% Soc and lower, they are all about the same voltage.
